Since the emergence and development of automotive transport, such industry as technical maintenance has formed and developed, and its main components are as follows: service - provision of services for maintaining motor vehicles in good technical condition and technical expertise that forms prerequisites for assessing changes in the potential technical and economic properties of motor vehicles and thus the management of their life cycle.
Postgraduate students acquire basic knowledge in the professional field by learning the practice-oriented disciplines:

- Methodology of scientific research.
- Planning and processing of experiment results.
- Specialized rolling stock.
- Environmental problems of automotive transport.
- Scientific basis of the system, technology and organization of the autoservice sphere.
Traineeship and internship
On-the-job and pre-graduation internships with the subsequent employment are held at the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) “Mosgortrans" and Limited Liability Company (LLC) RUS-AVTODOM - an official dealer of the Volkswagen Group, as well as at enterprises and organizations in Moscow and regions of the Russian Federation engaged in the operation and maintenance of transport and technological machines and systems.
Starting from a student, trainee, spare parts and accessories service employee during your postgraduate studies, after completing the programme and gaining working experience as a warranty engineer, service technician, staff qualification coordinator and after-sales service training expert, in future you will become a shop foreman, customer service manager, service consultant, workshop manager, spare parts service manager, service manager.
In the field of technical expertise, starting from an assistant, assistant officer or trainee, a graduate of the master’s degree programme of RUDN University has the opportunity to become a leading specialist of the Ministry of Transport, an insurance company, a bank and make the way up the corporate ladder up to a head of department, a director general of a holding.
