About the profession
Master’s Degree Program is devised to prepare highly skilled, broad-minded practicing lawyers, ready for scientific and practical work in State authorities of the Russian Federation, State authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, in government entities, local self-government bodies, as well as for academic or teaching career.
The Master’s Degree Program “Constitutional Law, Constitutional Proceedings” is based on comparative legal study of many aspects of constitutional law. First of all, it is related to integration of the Russian Federation into the world community. Therefore, it demands a thorough comprehensive analysis and generalization of peculiarities, tendencies and patterns of state development to predict ways and means of further development of Russian statehood. Besides, a specialist with profound knowledge of historical development of foreign countries, an expert in their constitutional law will always be in high demand.

Those studying for Master’s degree undergo practical training in the form of teaching practicum at the Department of Constitutional Law and Constitutional Proceedings. There is also an option of practical training at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council, the State Duma and other state structures. It is hard to overestimate the significance of these internships for obtaining practical experience in constitutional law as well as business correspondence and workflow in governmental organizations.
